Prince Felipe will step into his father King Juan Carlos' shoes when he is crowned the reigning monarch of Spain on Thursday. Prince George's 1st birthday: new coins approved by Prince William and Kate

Royal watchers were amazed to see how fast Prince George had grown when he was spotted on Sunday with his parents Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, in Cirencester. The adorable baby is in fact nearing his first birthday, which falls on 22 July, and in honour of the big day, a new £5 coin will be struck by The Royal Mint. Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, and Prince Harry will be on hand to wave off the 22 teams competing in this year's Tour de France. The Duchess of Cambridge, neé Kate Middleton was joined by the Countess of Wessex on Monday at the Order of the Garter service. As the 24 Knights of the Order of the Garter made their way through the grounds of Windsor Castle wearing full regalia, among their numbers were Prince William, Prince Charles, the Duke of York and the Earl of Wessex. Prince Félix and Princess Claire of Luxembourg have released the first photos of their newborn daughter Amalia. The sweet snaps were taken by first-time grandmother Grand Duchess Maria Teresa. The royal couple, who welcomed their little bundle of joy on Sunday, look the picture of health and happiness as they show off their first child.
