Bradley Wiggins has won Britain's second gold olympic medal.
The men's individual time trial cycle race saw Bradley, who won the Tour de France just last month, cruise to victory whilst fellow Team GB competitor Chris Froome gained bronze.
The 32-year-old completed the 49km course in 50 minutes 39 seconds, meaning he led by 42 seconds.
Bradley, who lives in Lancashire with his wife and children, now holds the record for British athlete with the most Olympic medals. He has four gold, one silver and two bronze.
The result gives the UK its seventh and eighth medals of London 2012.
Rowers Heather Stanning and Helen Glover also made Olympic history with their gold win on Wednesday.
