Britney Spears to remain under her father's care

A judge in Los Angeles has ruled that Britney Spears must stay under her dad's control.

Her personal and financial affairs will continue to be managed by her father, Jamie, after Superior Court Judge Reva Goetz decided the conservatorship order imposed in February 2008 should stay in place.

The 28-year-old pop star and her dad – pictured together in February 2008 - both met with the judge behind closed doors, and the arrangement was later confirmed in court.

Judge Goetz said she had had "a very nice conversation" with Britney, who is mum to two boys.

Lawyers working for the singer originally tried to overturn the conservatorship ruling when it was first imposed.
