Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed the inspiration behind her stunning white dress she wore for the Oscars.
She discussed her choice of outfit whilst filming American food chat show The Chew.
The actress said that dress designer Tom Ford came up with the idea of wearing a long cape, instead of the usual wrap or shrug:
"I tried on one dress. That was the dress and I thought, 'it's a little different but it's sort of a throwback.'
"I saw a pic of Jackie O in a white dress with a cape and it's been a while since anyone's worn a cape, frankly, except for Superman."
Gwyneth also said daughter Apple is heavily involved in her mum's fashion choices:
"My daughter loves a fashion moment. She weighs in heavily."
