When American king of chat Jay Leno finally gave up his nightly chat show after 17 years he invited some alternative special guests on stage. He was joined by 68 children born to employees who met on his programme, the Tonight Show, in a finale that attracted 70 per cent of possible US viewers.
While Jay bid farewell with a bang, another well-known presenter Jerry Springer was making his West End debut in the hit musical Chicago.
The former lawyer got a warm reception from his fellow cast members when he arrived to perform in the role of crooked lawyer Billy Flynn.
Jerry, who's joked he has "a voice for newspapers and a face for radio", will appear in eight shows a week during a six-week run.
The 65-year-old has some experience in performing after appearing US show Dancing With The Stars in 2006. Other than that the showman is just hoping his feet "go in the right direction"
