Despite making his entrance into the world with twin brother Bob just over two weeks ago, Max Sheen – the newborn son of Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller – has yet to leave hospital and join his family at home. And as questions continue to surface surrounding the health of the child, his famous dad has decided to clarify matters.
"Charlie and Brooke's infant son Max remains in hospital, not because of a heart condition as reported, but because he has not gained the weight necessary to leave the hospital," the Two And A Half Men star's representative has confirmed.
But the cheeky dad-of-five has made another suggestion as to why his son is still too small to come home – a dislike for hospital meals.
"I know a lot of people are not fond of hospital food; I just didn’t realise that they started so young," quipped the 43-year-old star - who wed his third wife Brooke, a real estate investor, in May 2008.
Twin boys Max and Bob are the first sons for the couple. Charlie is also dad to four-year-old Sam and Lola, three, from his marriage to ex-wife Denise Richards. And he has another daughter -24-year-old Cassandra - from a previous relationship.
