BBC sports star Clare Balding has been seen out and about near her home in West London ahead of her return to work on Saturday when she will present the Derby at Epsom.
Just five days ago it was revealed the 38-year-old is battling thyroid cancer and recently had a second throat operation to remove her thyroid gland. In July she will undergo radioactive iodine treatment.
Former jockey Clare, who has been recuperating at her parents' stables in Kingsclere, Newbury, will wear a specially tailored outfit when she fronts the race coverage at the weekend.
Her attire has been created for her by Knightsbridge-based designer Laura B who told the newspaper: "She needed something to cover up her stitches, and I was happy to oblige."
"She has had the stitches out already, and I have made her a pink dress and coat in wool crepe with a high collar, which does the job perfectly."
