The Queen makes lavish entry to open Parliament
Queen Elizabeth II was escorted by her husband Prince Philip as she entered the Royal Gallery for the state opening of Parliament. She later gave a speech to MPs and peers in which she outlined the priority of government will be to stabilise the British economy
