Glastonbury 2014 will be headlined by Kasabian as 87 more acts have been added to the bill for the upcoming music festival.
The band confirmed they would be appearing at the event on the Pyramid Stage for the Sunday show while the likes of Jack White, Elbow and MIA were confirmed. Organisers were keen to get a British act fronting Glastonbury this year, after America’s Beyoncé Knowles has headlined in the past.
"It's really important for us to keep giving British bands that opportunity to headline here," organiser Emily Eavis told BBC 6 Music. "Kasabian are a massive live act, they're brilliant live. It just seemed a sort of natural choice for us."
Taking place across 100 platforms in Somerset 25-29 June, fans are still waiting to hear who the big act will be on the Saturday. Pixies, Jake Bugg, Robert Plant, James Blake, MGMT, Brian Ferry, Kelis, Metronomy and De La Soul have recently joined the bill.
Previously announced was Dolly Parton and Blondie for the festival which sold out in less than 90 minutes when they went on sale in October.
