David Walliams has resigned himself to appearing on BBC's dance competition Strictly Come Dancing.
The comic actor-come-writer has revealed that he has been following the current series of the show closely, as his good friend Holly Valance is one of the contestants.
He is planning to take his mother (pictured) - who is a huge fan - to watch one of the live programmes later on in the series.
"I've never been asked to do Strictly but it comes to us all in the end," he said.
David also spoke of his respect for the less strong contestants on the show:
"It's a really fun show and even people who aren't any good at it, like Ann Widdecombe, turn a complete lack of skill into a triumph, because the public respect people trying.
"I know I'd be terrible at it, but whether it would endear me to the public, I don't know."
