Holby City actress Patsy Kensit and her husband, DJ Jeremy Healy, are reportedly in crisis talks after a series of rows that are threatening their marriage.
And pals of the couple, who wed eight months ago, have told the Sun that "the writing is on the wall" for their union.
Describing their marriage as "volatile", one friend said: "Things hit a rocky patch before Christmas and it just isn’t working."
"Patsy has taken it hard and is struggling to cope. She is deeply depressed and it's not a happy house at the moment."
The couple did share a romantic sunshine break over the festive holiday, but it seems it wasn't enough to resolve their issues.
Mum-of-one Patsy - previously married to Dan Donovan, Simple Minds' Jim Kerr and Oasis star Liam Gallagher - and her long-term friend Jeremy began a relationship in 2007 and moved in together.
In March 2008, the 47-year-old musician called off their whirlwind engagement, but just two months later the pair reunited.
They walked down the aisle in April 2008, despite reports of Jeremy's last minute "wobbles".
It is thought work commitments might be behind the couple's current troubles, since they have been forced to spend much of the last six months apart.
Patsy's spokesman had "no comment" to make on the reports.
