Former winner of The Apprentice Stella English spoke about the breakdown of her marriage and the effect it has had on her children.
Stella, who split from husband Ray last year, told Lorraine Kelly and Aled Jones on Daybreak that she was sad her children would grow up in two households. "I was brought up by my mum on her own," she said. "It was my worst nightmare to be a single parent, I couldn't think of anything worse".
The entrepreneur added that she still respected her husband, but that it was difficult to explain the split to her two sons. "They don't know why we've split up," she said. "They want to think that you're going to get back together and that's really hard."
Looking to the future, she revealed that her children were her priority. "I'm doing pretty well," she admitted. "I think it's pretty tough on my kids so I'm just trying to manage that".
