'Nottingham' star Russell Crowe seduced by Surrey curry

Gladiator star Russell Crowe has discovered a penchant for Surrey cuisine.

The Australia-based actor, who's currently filming his new movie Nottingham in the Home Counties has become a big fan of the fare offered at the local curry houise - specifically its chicken tikka masala.

Eschewing the restaurants in his multi-starred hotel, the actor has visited the Mogul restaurant in Bagshot six times over the last two weeks. According to reports he's also been sampling the stout in the the local pub The Fighting Cocks.

The Aussie hunk, who shares the screen with Sienna Miller as Maid Marian in the flick, is keeping his calorie intake balanced with regular trips to the gym. At least he doesn't need to worry about the effect it might have on the traditionally tight-wearing role, though, as he refused to don the Sherwood resident's usual costume.

"I will not wear tights because according to our research they weren't invented for another 300 years," he says. "I apologise to you all – and to Sienna Miller."
