Still shaken by the loss of his beloved son Jett in January, John Travolta didn't feel up to undertaking the round of publicity junkets for his new action-thrillerThe Taking of Pelham 123. So when his colleagues Denzel Washington, James Gandolfini and Luis Guzman took on added promotional duties for the flick he issued a heartfelt note on his website thanking them for their support.
"Their unselfish efforts have allowed my family the additional time to reconcile our loss," he wrote.
Sixteen-year-old Jett, his elder child with wife Kelly Preston, died after suffering a seizure during a holiday at the family's property in the Bahamas.
In his recent message John went on to urge fans to catch his portrayal of a deranged ex-inmate who takes hostages on a New York subway. "I promise, you won't be disappointed," he assures
