'Thank God it’s over,' says Katie Price as she plans divorce party

Her divorce to Peter Andre was finalised on Tuesday, and for Katie Price, it was cause for celebration.

The former glamour model reportedly toasted the end of her four-year marriage with a bottle of bubbly.

After a judge granted the couple a decree nisi during a 42-second hearing, Katie tucked into some pink champagne with her mum, before phoning friends to tell them the news.

"It’s been a nightmare but we’re finally getting there," says the 31-year-old.

“I just want to move on with my life and think about the future – one without Pete. It’s sad but I have to face facts. Thank God it’s over.”

And there are more festivities to come for the mum-of-three, who is throwing herself a divorce party at her home in Surrey.

"She wants one big blow-out with all her friends. It’s been a tough time of late so she really wants to let her hair down," a friend says.

“She’s been busy deciding on the guest list and really wants it to be a night to remember."

Katie's showbiz friends including Michelle Heaton, Jennifer Ellison and Alex Curran are expected to attend.
