Grammy Award winner Bruno Mars will be headlining the 2014 Super Bowl halftime show.
Following the announcement by the NFL the excited Locked Out of Heaven singer tweeted "WE’RE GOING TO THE SUPERBOWL!!!!!! #pepsiSBhalftime"
The 27 year old singer-songwriter has sold more than 115million singles worldwide from his albums Doo-Wops and Hooligans and Unorthodox Jukebox and recently took home the award for best male video and choreography for his song Treasure at the MTV Video Music Awards.
This prestigious honour will put Bruno among the A-list likes of Beyoncé, Madonna, Prince and the Rolling Stones, who have previously performed as the halftime entertainment.
Last year more than 110.5 million spectators in the US tuned in to watch the halftime show.
