John Prescott's cameo role in Gavin and Stacey
A world away from his political duties, former deputy prime minister John Prescott is to make a guest appearance in BBC comedy Gavin and Stacey.
The poitician - who has been mentioned in the show as an ex-lover of Nessa Jenkins - is due to appear in the series' final episode on New Year's Day.
He will appear at the wedding of Nessa and her current love Dave Coaches (pictured) to stir up some trouble as her ex-boyfriend.
"I thoroughly enjoyed my cameo," Mr Prescott told the Daily Mirror.
