Gordon Ramsay offers unreserved apology to Aussie TV host

Volatile TV chef Gordon Ramsay has apologised for upsetting an Australian TV presenter this week. A spokesperson for the Scot said remarks he had made during an interview and the afterwards had been a "joke", but "with hindsight he realises his comments were inappropriate and offensive".

The representative added his client has "unreservedly apologised" to Tracy Grimshaw, the female TV host involved,  "and anybody else who may have been upset".

Australian Prime minister Kevin Rudd stepped in to express his disapproval after the celebrity chef's behaviour was reported in the Australian press. Gordon made insensitive remarks about Tracy's appearance during an interview (pictured), and went on to add to his comments the following day at a food fair.
