Carla Bruni's no show at Cannes for 'personal reasons'
Carla Bruni has further fuelled speculation that she is pregnant by cancelling her appearance at this year's Cannes Film Festival.
The former model and singer has a part in Woody Allen's latest film Midnight in Paris and was due to attend the prestigious festival to promote the romantic comedy.
However the French First Lady told RTL Radio: "I was dreaming of going to Cannes but I cannot go for personal reasons and for professional reasons, unfortunately."
Rumours that the 43-year-old is expecting her first child with husband President Nicolas Sarkozy have emerged in recent weeks.
Carla already has nine-year-old son Aurelien from a previous relationship.
