Jessica Ennis-Hill's hopes to return to the track have been dashed again as she recovers from her achilles injury.
The heptathalon athlete, who won gold in the London 2012 Olympics, was expected to compete in the 100m hurdles event at the Diamond League meeting in Oslo, but the stiffness in her left achilles has forced her to pull out.
Last month her injury troubles also prevented her from taking part in the indoor season, although she insists that her ankle is healing.
She said: "I am so frustrated as I want to get out there and start my season, but I am being advised to look longer term.
"Things are getting better and the stiffness is improving – but not quite as quickly as I would have liked."
Jessica has now gone ten months without competing but she hopes to be fighting fit again for the Moscow World Championships in August.
