David Beckham's football plans rejected

David Beckham has been rejected by the city of Miami for a second time.

The ex-England football captain, 39, put forward a proposal to build a stadium on the city's waterfront, but the location was deemed "inappropriate" by authorities including Miami's mayor Tomas Regalado.

David had also suggested landscaping the surrounding area into a parkland.

While the doting dad and his business group Miami Beckham United have said that they will pursue other locations, this was the second time that David's planning proposal was scuppered as he had previously been denied access to build at PortMiami.

The Londoner, who used to live in Los Angeles with his wife Victoria and their four children, has been travelling back and forth stateside as he hopes to launch a Major League Soccer club.

David will need to have a stadium deal finalised, however, before he can open a club.
