Naomi Campbell has issued a statement saying she had "nothing to gain" from lying during her evidence at the war crimes trial of Charles Taylor.
It is alleged that Naomi received 'blood diamonds' from Mr Taylor after a dinner in South Africa in 1997.
At her appearance in The Hague, she said she was woken by two strangers in the night who gave her a pouch containing a few "dirty looking stones".
But her evidence has been contradicted by fellow guests Mia Farrow and Naomi's former agent Carole White about the gift and its origin.
The 40-year-old, who could face charges for possessing 'illegal' uncut diamonds, has since issued a statement saying: "I've no motive here. Nothing to gain.
"I am a black woman who has and will always support good causes, especially relating to Africa."
Naomi is currently holidaying in Sardinia with her Russian boyfriend Vladimir Doronin and Leonardo DiCaprio.
