But sadly, Dennis Quaid, 57, and his wife Kimberley Buffington-Quaid have called time on their eight-year marriage.

A statement from his spokesman said: "We can confirm that Kimberley Quaid has filed for divorce.

"Contrary to what has been reported, a satisfactory settlement is being worked out for both parties."

Under a temporary agreement, the couple will share custody of their four-year-old twins Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace.

Kimberley, a real estate agent, has use of their family home and a Mercedes.

Meanwhile, her estranged husband keeps a condo and their Cadillac.

Dennis was previously married to actresses Meg Ryan and P J Soles.
