The forces of good and evil came face to face on Freshwater West beach in Pembrokeshire on Monday. And the sight of Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe facing up to Helena Bonham Carter drew crowds of locals as the pair lensed scenes for the last instalment in the series.
Boy wizard Daniel and Helena – who stars as female Death Eater Bellatrix LeStrange – were not the only big names on the recently constructed set of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows.
Eager fans who had gathered nearby hoping to catch a glimpse of the action were also treated to sightings of Emma Watson, who plays Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley actor Rupert Grint. Many were rewarded for their patience when Daniel and Helena happily signed autographs between takes.
Work on the Harry Potter film – which is being split into two parts set for release in 2010 and 2011 – is not the only cinematic magic the Welsh community will experience this summer. The same spot is also being used for scenes in Robin Hood, starring Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett
