Prince Harry has almost reached the South Pole after three and a half weeks trekking through harsh conditions.
The Prince is taking part in the Virgin Money South Pole Allied Challenge to raise money for the foundation Walking with the Wounded.
Harry forms part of Team Glenfiddich, one of three teams taking part in the expedition, alongside army veterans several of whom have been left disabled after sustaining injuries whilst fighting in Afghanistan.
Reflecting on their trek so far the 29-year-old royal said: "Everyone just can’t wait to get to the end. Spirits are incredibly high. The weather is still holding off, which is really nice – it it’s about -35ºC now and 24-hour sunlight, which is nice in these tents to keep us warm at night."
Walking With The Wounded are aiming to raise £100,000 from their expedition to fund the re-training and re-education of servicemen and women, both veterans and those leaving The Armed Forces.
