According to The Hollywood Reporter, Oscar winning actress Sandra Bullock is said to be in talks to join Jamie Foxx and new star Quvenzhane Wallis from Beasts of the Southern Wild in Sony Picture's remake of Annie.
Sandra Bullock, 48, is said to play Miss Hannigan, a role originally played by Carol Burnett in the 1982 film, who runs the orphanage where Annie lives.
It is reported that The Blind Side star was in talks with the Sony Pictures in March but turned down the role. However, both sides are apparently back in contact and are negotiating.
Django Unchained star Jamie Foxx, 45, is said to play wealthy businessman Benjamin Stacks, in a modern take of the Daddy Warbucks character who adopts the orphan. Meanwhile, Quvenzhane Wallis, 9, has been cast as Annie.
The remake, directed by Will Gluck, will include film producers such as Will Smith and Jay-Z, and is due for release at the end of 2014.
