It was their first introduction to the world as Princess Mary and Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark left hospital today with their new twins.
Waving Danish flags, well-wishers gathered by the hundreds to get their first glimpse of the newest members of the royal family who were born on January 8.
The couple’s new son and daughter were born a half an hour apart and will be fourth and fifth in line to the throne respectively.
According to Danish tradition, the names of royal babies are not announced until their christening, three months after their birth.
