Oscar buzz for Colin Firth as he wins best actor

Oscar buzz is surrounding Colin Firth's role in his new film The King's Speech.

The 50-year-old received best actor from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association in a hint at what may come at the Academy Awards in February.

The LA critics best actor choice has proceeded to triumph in the Kodak Theater for the past five years running.

Colin's role as King George VI sees him confronting a debilitating stammer and rallying the country for war.

Earlier this month, the movie dominated the British Independent Film Awards, winning in five categories.
