According to US reports, the Material Girl has signed a contract to buy a four-storey Georgian-style townhouse in New York's Upper East Side. The £27m mansion has 13 bedrooms, 14 bathrooms and nine fireplaces, a lift, a wine cellar and a 3,000 sq ft garden. A source close to the singer says she is "trying to recreate London in New York City"
