Carla Bruni welcomes France's new First Lady
Dressed in a dark suit, France's First Lady Carla Bruni has bid farewell to her dazzling term in the Elysee Palace.
The partner of new French President François Hollande, Valerie Trierweiler was perfectly dressed for the occasion wearing a smart white coat.
Carla met with her successor on the steps of the executive palace as France's power shift was formalised.
Both women looked on as Carla’s husband Nicolas Sarkozy welcomed the new president, who was sworn in on Tuesday.
