Emmerdale's 'Aaron Livesy' sheds tears for late producer

Emmerdale's Danny Miller was one of a number of stars who was overcome with emotion as the winners were announced at the 2011 British Soap Awards.

The actor, who plays bad boy mechanic Aaron Livesy, paid a tearful tribute to the series producer who died of cancer last year at the age of 41.

Gavin Blyth was posthumously given a Special Achievement Award. He had previously also worked on Coronation Street.

Danny presented the award to his widow Suzy Blyth . After a standing ovation she said: "I told Gavin we'd get some b****y awards this year - he just wouldn't wait, as usual.

"I am so incredibly proud of my husband. He's left an amazing legacy for his children."
