Being the hottest new teen pin-up is not without its dangers, as hunky Twilight star Robert Pattinson discovered this week.
The US media is reporting that the 23-year-old Brit was hit by a taxi in New York as he tried to escape from a crowd of excited fans. It seems he was just clipped by the vehicle, however, and was not seriously hurt.
The incident occurred when the actor tried to cross the road to his trailer during a break in filming his new film Remember Me, a tale of two young lovers dealing with family tragedies.
Robert is due to remain in the Big Apple filming the flick - due out in February 2010 - for the next four weeks.
