Arnold Schwarzenegger puts acting comeback on hold

Actor and politician Arnold Schwarzenegger has put his movie comeback on hold.

The former California governor is  busy dealing with the fall-out from an affair with his housekeeper and possibly preparing for a costly divorce.

His talent agency has put all the film projects that he is negotiating on hold until further notice.

"Mr Schwarzenegger is focusing on personal matters and is not willing to commit to any production schedules or time-lines," said a spokesman.

"This includes Cry Macho, the Terminator franchise and other projects under consideration.

"We will resume discussions when Mr Schwarzenegger decides."

The revelation that he fathered a child with his housekeeper also set the stage for what could be a big-money divorce case.

Experts suggest his wife Maria Shriver can expect to receive at least $100,000 (£61,630) a month in spousal support.

And as two of their four children are under the age of 18, she could be awarded up to 40,000 US dollars (£24,650).
