Winona Ryder has insisted she is "proud" of her wrinkles, revealing she has experienced peer pressure to succumb to cosmetic surgery.
The actress, 41, posed for a cover shoot for Interview magazine and revealed she has found cosmetic surgery is common place in the film industry now.
Winona said: "It's funny, because I went straight from the Interview shoot to this premiere, and I still had on all the make-up, and my friend told me that some people were literally saying that I'd had work done.
"I'm not trying to knock it, but, you know, I have a little bit of traffic now on my forehead - which I'm very proud of actually - and it's interesting how people just instinctively are like, 'Oh, maybe you should get something done for that.' And it's like, 'Really?'"
The A Scanner Darkly star also opened up about her experience when she was caught shoplifting in 2001, and revealed she actually felt it had had a positive effect on her life.
Winona said: "That thing that happened, I was starting to have some trouble before that.
"I think a lot of people think that that is what sort of sent me off in another direction, but I was actually starting to have some trouble a few years before.
"I did come up against what felt like a wall. And with what happened... I really needed the time off, which ended up being a couple of years.”
