Max Clifford and wife granted quickee divorce

Max Clifford and wife Jo are divorced after four years of marriage, following his recent conviction for several counts of indecent assault.

Neither attended the hearing in London on Tuesday which lasted just two minutes and granted them decree nisi.

According to the court papers, the marriage had broken down four months before Max was arrested in connection with Operation Yewtree.

Jo filed for divorce on the grounds of unreasonable behaviour.

She admitted that her husband's actions had affected her health, and said: "I suffered from stress and had heart palpitations and saw a specialist."

Jo, 51, worked as Max's PA before the pair married in April 2010, and hired renowned divorce lawyer Raymond Tooth, nicknamed Jaws, to represent her.
