'Fighter' Zsa Zsa Gabor recovering after surgery

Actress Zsa Zsa Gabor has undergone what doctors have called a successful hip-replacement operation and family members say they trust she will make a quick recovery.

After falling out of bed on Saturday while attempting to answer the phone, the Hollywood legend was rushed to hospital with a broken hip.

"The operation went very well," Zsa Zsa's ninth husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt told the press.

"When my wife smiles it means she is doing ok. She would give me that sign” he continued.

Trusting in a rapid recovery, he added “She's a big fighter. She is a Hungarian fighter.”

Zsa Zsa’s daughter, Constance Hilton, told reporters that the actress is conscious but groggy. She later thanked everyone for their calls and concerns.

Although everything went well, doctor’s say that they will keep the 93-year-old in the hospital for four to five days minimum until she makes a full recovery.
