EastEnders role for Gentle Touch star Jill Gascoine
Jill Gascoine, best known for her detective inspector role in Eighties police drama The Gentle Touch, will soon be arriving in Albert Square.
In true EastEnders style, the 72-year-old will make a shock entrance -surprising her long-lost daughters Ronnie and Roxy Mitchell.
A far cry from the nervous and unstable mother that viewers have heard about from the sisters, Jill will arrive polished and confident.
"I'm thrilled to be joining the cast of EastEnders and I am really excited to be back on British TV," the actress says.
