Man charged over break-in at Lindsay Lohan's home

A man has been formally charged with breaking into the Hollywood homes of Lindsay Lohan (left) and reality show star Audrina Patridge.

Eighteen-year-old Nicholas Prugo was arrested on suspicion of burglary last month.

He is accused of stealing $170,000 - £103,000 - worth of clothes and jewellery.

Prosecutors allege more than $43,000 - £26,000 - of property was stolen from The Hills star Audrina in February of this year.

While they have said around $128,000 - £77,600 - worth of items were taken from Lindsay's home in August. 

Both incidents were caught on surveillance cameras.

On November 11, Mr Prugo will appear in court to face the two charges of residential burglary. 

He could face up to six years in prison if prosecuted.
