Dr Conrad Murray's lawyer on 'inconsistent' statement

A lawyer acting on behalf of Michael Jackson's personal doctor, Conrad Murray, has criticised a witness statement from the night of the king of pop's death.

An alleged account of the night in question has been given to investigators by Alberto Alvarez, Michael's logistics director.

The statement claims Dr Murray halted resuscitation on the dying pop star and delayed calling paramedics.

Dr Murray's lawyer, Ed Chernoff, says the account is "inconsistent".
