After a string of Europe-set movies there was a Big Apple homecoming for Woody Allen this week as the film director debuted his New York romance Whatever Works at Manhattan's Tribeca Film Festival.
The veteran film maker caught up with the cine-fest's co-founder, double Oscar nominee Robert De Niro, at the screening which was the first of the 11-day festival.
Starring Seinfeld creator Larry David and The Wrestler actress Rachel Wood, Woddy's latest oeuvre tells the tale of a May/December romance between an aged cynic and a youthful optimist.
