Lady Gaga has insisted on meeting US President Barack Obama in order to discuss her concerns over bullying.
The singer took to Twitter yesterday after hearing of the tragic suicide of a 14–year–old boy after being bullied about his sexuality.
The superstar tweeted: "The past days I've spent reflecting, crying, and yelling. I have so much anger. It is hard to feel love when cruelty takes someones life.
She then went on to say: "Jamey Rodemeyer, 14 yrs old, took his life because of bullying. Bullying must become be illegal. It is a hate crime."
The young boy from New York had posted an online video telling the world of the cruelty he was experiencing through bullying, which Lady Gaga also posted on twitter.
She finally tweeted to her 13.7 million followers: "I am meeting with our President. I will not stop fighting. This must end. Our generation has the power to end it. Trend it #MakeALawForJamey"
