Rose Byrne, star of hit comedy Bridesmaids, recently revealed she has a fear of birds, brought on during filming for her latest movie: I Give It A Year.
In the film, which premiered in London on Thursday night, Rose had to film a scene involving a live dove, as part of a romantic proposition, which left her feeling shaken and on-edge.
The Australian actress said “I was petrified. I was slightly unprepared, but I have a fear of birds, I discovered, and the scene, unfortunately, was hijacked by this fear.
It was intense. It was like a weird acting exercise, where I had to focus on my objective while being completely physically overtaken. It was really weird."
The comedy is based on the whirlwind wedding of Nat and Josh, played by Rose and Rafe Spall, who seek counselling for their marriage against the backdrop of an ever-present ex and new love-interests.
Rose looked radiant at the film’s premiere in Leicester Square in a pink Balenciaga gown and Charlotte Olympian heels.
Co-stars Minnie Driver, Simon Baker and Rafe Spall also walked the red carpet as did guests David Mitchell, Victoria Coren, Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
I Give It A Year is released in cinemas on February 8.
