Former England football captain Sol Campbell is heading down the aisle after asking for the hand of his girlfriend of four years, interior designer Fiona Barratt.
Delighted Fiona, 29, said "yes" after Sol popped the question over a romantic meal, producing a sparkling diamond reported to be worth £100,000. The couple are expected to tie the knot next year.
Sol met his bride-to-be when she was working for his former girlfriend Kelly Hoppen, also an interior designer. Kelly had split with the Portsmouth star and it was Fiona who planned the refurbishment of Sol's £3 million Chelsea townhouse
