With the marriage between Katie Price and Peter Andre now officially over, the model's mum has broken her silence about the split.
Saying that she feels "somebody has to start sticking up for Kate", 56-year-old Amy has gone public with her thoughts.
Speaking to a British newspaper, Amy said her daughter is fine but "frustrated" by the "rubbish saying Pete's the good guy and she's the bad guy."
She also added that the only time mum-of-three Katie considered a reunion with her ex was when she went on holiday to the Maldives in the days following the split.
"Kate gets a really hard time but she's trying her hardest and people need to give her a break," she said.
A spokesperson for Pete declined to comment.
