Male guests at charity fundraiser were left disappointed when an eager female admirer of actress Charlize Theron outbid them for a chance to kiss her.
Hostess Charlize threw in the offer of a steamy moment alongside the main prize of a trip to South Africa when the bidding flagged at £22,000.
A gentleman in the audience immediately bid £79,000 – only to lose out to a mystery blonde willing to pay £85,000.
Despite her surprise, the 34-year-old actress gamely obliged jesting: "Swine-flu is going around. This is high-risk kissing".
When the two ladies pulled apart after 20 seconds, Charlize, whose long-term love is Irish actor Stuart Townsend, joked: "My boyfriend isn't here".
