Claudia Schiffer sends bubbly apology to police after dog trouble

After police officers dropped in on Claudia Schiffer at her Suffolk mansion to talk about disturbances caused by her dogs, the German-born catwalk star was keen to make amends.

The mum-of-two was told she could face prosecution after Irish wolfhound Roxy attacked another dog and her Alsatian Oscar went for a postman. She responded not only by paying the veterinary bills incurred by her pets' behaviour, but also by sending six bottles of champagne round to the local police station.

Officers decided not to crack open Claudia's gift, however – instead they offered it as a prize in a charity raffle. It's not known whether the postman received a couple of bottles, too
