Florence Welch opens Harrods sale in edgy style

In the past there have been puppies, models and media moguls.

But this year the grand opening of the Harrods sale was in the hands of singer Florence Welch, who moulded the tradition to her style in a gothic black dress and cape.

The star also arrived in an open top bus instead of the traditional horse drawn carriage that has transported guests in previous years.

The flame haired singer posed for some pics before performing a version of What The Water Gave Me for waiting crowds.

Past guests include actress Eva Longoria and model Eva Herzigova.
