Prince William will visit The Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea, London on 7 November.
William is currently president of the The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, following in the footsteps of his mother Princess Diana who held the position from 1989 until her death in 1997.
Diana's close link with the hospital dated back to her first solo engagement after marrying Prince Charles, which was a tour of the hospital in 1982.
William has been a patron of The Royal Marsden since 2007, and even did two days' work experience at the hospital in 2005, two years before taking up his presidency there.
During his placement William worked in the children's unit, helping out with medical research, catering and fundraising, and paid visits to a number of wards.
When William visits on the world-leading cancer centre on 7 November he will view sections of two live surgeries in the Wolfson Surgical Suite.
He will also meet The Royal Marsden's surgical team members involved in the operations, including lead surgeons Mr Stuart James and Mr Pardeep Kumar.
