Robbie Williams confirms he is not engaged
Despite his mother confirming that her son, Robbie Williams, is engaged, the former Take That star has officially announced that the reports are not true.
The speculation started when the cheeky pop star jokingly popped the question to his long-term love live on an Australian radio show last week.
Following the surprise turn of events, Robbie's mother Jan, told BBC 5 live that she was "really pleased" at the news and had "always wanted a daughter-in-law".
"Hey all. We are not engaged. Rob," the singer posts on his official website, while his spokesman says: "We have no more comment on this apart from to confirm that they are not engaged."
