Prince William told Prime Minister David Cameron that the Queen is a fan of Dizzee Rascal.
During the London rapper's performance at the opening Ceremony of the Olympics the future King said: "I don't know if you know, Prime Minister, but my grandmother is a great fan of Dizzee Rascal."
At a Royal Academy gala the premier recalled the Prince's claim in his speech.
The comment was met with laughter from guests, including William's wife Kate.
Dizzee, who's real name is Dylan Mills, is famous for hits such as Dance Wiv Me and Bonkers which are a mix of garage and dance.
He has also recorded the Olympic's official song: Scream.
